I wanted to share these pictures of Edible Glitter™ baked on a cookie. This is one of the really cool differences between the type of sprinkles they call “Jimmies” (or “Shots” depending on what area of the country you are from). Jimmies melt in the oven. Edible Glitter™, on the other hand will not melt or burn, and is heat stable. So you can sprinkle Edible Glitter™ on un-baked cookies, muffins, breads, or even pizza and it will not melt. When the cookies bake, the Edible Glitter™ sticks to the surface. It will not fall off after baking, it stays put. This is a great way to add color to lots of products without adding additional sugar from frosting. Edible Glitter™ has no sugar. It is just Gum Arabic and color.
